Welcome to KBF! I'm so glad you've stopped by to learn more about the KBF Method. My Barre Strength method blends two valuable training styles - the tempo and movements of barre with progressive strength training through focused muscle group and movement pattern programming. The core development, muscular endurance, and mobility achieved through barre is elevated with progressively increasing resistance to build strength. Often, those who exclusively do barre and pilates miss out on the benefits of progressive strength training, and likewise those who exclusively do strength training miss out on the benefits of barre.
Benefits of Barre:
Barre and pilates provide a low impact experience that emphasizes form over speed, allowing you to create valuable mind to muscle connections. With special attention to proper engagement of the core, pelvic floor, and breath, barre will train you to get the most out of each movement and create positive habits that will translate into daily activities!
Benefits of Strength Training:
Strength training changes your body composition by increasing lean muscle mass. Not only will this promote better metabolism, increased muscle mass will also enhance your coordination, bone density, and aid in preventing many chronic illnesses brought on by natural loss of muscle with age. Progressive strength training is one of the most powerful tools at our discretion to remain healthy, active, energetic, and mobile!
As a mom of 3, I understand the importance of proper core engagement and overall strength to enjoy my life and fulfill responsibilities. A need for low impact fitness and desire to continue improving strength inspired me to share my method with others who are seeking the same!

Background & Certifications: Kansas City based NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Barre Instructor. A former college athlete with a background in competitive powerlifting, cheer, and gymnastics, these two training styles have been lifelong passions. Coaching gymnastics and cheer early in my career helped me discover my passion for guiding others in fitness. I became a Group Fitness Instructor in 2016 and have since coached various styles from barre and pilates to sculpt classes at a variety of studios. I now own a barre strength studio where I offer small group classes and private training. This app follows the programming I deliver to my in-person clients with modifications to make it accessible with limited space or equipment.
